Also known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, California Proposition 65 is a law that requires warning to consumers if a product exposes consumers to a wide variety of chemicals including lead and cadmium. Prop 65 does not ban any product; it simply requires warnings. Prop 65 applies only in California, and covers all products distributed in the state. Please note-AAkron Rule complies with all Federal Regulations concerning chemical contents. The State of California requires significantly stricter standards be met. California Prop. 65 is a local law that requires a warning label if a product exposes customers to a list of over 900 chemicals. AAkron Line sources all our product to insure the raw materials used to produce our products are not known to have any of the chemicals listed on the Prop 65 list. If a product is made from a raw material known to have any of the over 900 chemicals on the Prop 65 list AAkron Line will test products with an accredited 3rd party to ensure if they need labeling or not. If needed we will label any product with the correct label according to the new 2018 Prop 65 labeling requirements . Below is an example of the new label that will be used if needed.

Antimicrobial products each have an EPA registered antimicrobial agent incorporated into the plastic that protects the item itself by suppressing growth of bacteria. The EPA master label for the registered additive states that the antimicrobial agent is approved for inclusion into the polymers from which the products are manufactured for protection of those products themselves. The antimicrobial properties do not protect users or others against bacteria, viruses, germs or other disease organisms.
